Summer with Future Earth

Enjoy this summer reading Future Earth! The main heroes Carol Dreamer and Maitreya Banchamek were the result of my imagination coming from many places, characters and people.

The protagonist Carol Dreamer feels the full blast of the future War of Religions: In the Christian Kingdom of Spain, she is persecuted for being a Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist and she is regarded as a Buddhist witch. In a way, her character is like the antihero witch Anthy Himemiya from Chiho Saito’s work Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Moving on to Maitreya Banchamek, he is a Theravada Buddhist who lives in the Buddhist Kingdom of Thailand and he is the chosen one to unveil the mysteries regarding the artificially intelligent city of Dejah Thoris in planet Mars. He is based on my idol Muay Thai fighter Buakaw Banchamek along with classic heroes like Kyle Reese from Terminator (1984) and from the brother marine John “Reaper” Grimm who saves his sister Dr. Samantha Grimm in the movie DOOM and several heroes from CLAMP works such as Kamui Shiro in X/1999 and Syaoran in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles.

After working with my third novel for such a long time both protagonists developed on their own in their future Earth world. Hope you enjoy this fantasy adventure and helps you in your daily life!

June 21st: National Indigenous Peoples Day

To commemorate the annual June 21st marking the celebration of the First Nations of Canada, I would like to share one of their official videos in which two First Nations students declare a defense for planet Earth and to take action to change the present situation:

The reason to remember this day is linked with my own personal ancestry from William Frederick “Buffalo Bill” Cody (1846-1917) who created the Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. Here you can see a group photo from the Buffalo Bill Legacy Gallery:
